22.02.2010 – Barcelona, Spain
Hi,
We are sitting in the kitchen in our rented apartment in Barcelona :-). It all started when we set down in some girl birthday party and decided we should do something in the vacation week we got between the semesters. “I say we’ll fly to Barcelona.” said someone . Without too much thinking we agreed and flew. We are all from the Technion, me, another boy and a girl from the faculty of civil engineering, and another girl from faculty of food.
We landed yesterday after a long flight. We got the keys (I wish I would have apartment like that in Haifa🙂 and went to a little drink in a near by pub.
We wake up early in the morning and went wondering around the city. We didn’t really know where we are going to and why but we always had the feeling we know where we are. We show the Cathedral of the city, the Cathedral of Santa maria del mar, the port, the street of Rambla and the the museum of chocolate (that in the middle suddenly changed into the museum of astronomy, not really clear how and why…).
When we finish the visit in the museum of chocolate we had a strong cup of chocolate, everyone had a small cup and I had large one. When I finished it I felt I want to run. I got up and went to the exit.
I didn’t know where I am, I didn’t who I am I didn’t remember nothing. It took me five seconds to realize what happened. I fainted, again. More then I was afraid, everybody else were afraid. So I started smiling and explained them that happens once in a while and that nothing serious. And we went on. I really should check if it is the chocolate or something else that I had that made me react that way.
Before the museum we stood by the house of justice in the city. I somehow told it in a way that made my friend to call the building “The house/ place of Jessica”. Do you think that what made faint?
I remember the siesta in South America, and I met it again here. That is so strange in your culture, the fact that you don’t work more then needed. You don’t really do what people except you to do, just what you want. You can see it in the cities, in the buildings that are so different from each other. The main thing in them is that they will make you smile when you look at them.
Take Care
