Hi,

We are pretty exhausted after today. Yesterday we went to one of the clubs around Placa de Reial, next to our apartment. To tell you the truth it wasn’t good. First of all it is the center of the old city, second of all it was Monday. They so afraid that one will complain of the noise that make, that everything here is top secret, double-door and underground. We went in finally, to one of them and danced till we just couldn’t stand anymore, or to be more accurate till 2:30 then they closed it because it is too late…

We waked up pretty late, and took it more easy today. After what we did yesterday was to walk somewhere and then going there again at least once just because we weren’t sure what we are looking for, that time we decided not going back to places and took the metro to far places. First we went to the market to buy ourselves breakfast (Dunken Dounts) and lunch (bread, cheese and vegetables) for the rest of the day. We went up to Parc Guell that Gaudi designed.

He built it so weird and strange that it is really fun to look at it. We also visit his museum. I keep thinking of the movie Pan’s Labyrinth, how you feel like walking inside it when wondering here. After taking picture with the lizard we walked down to Sagrada Familia, the huge and the last work of Gaudi. They are building it since the start of the 20th century and they have only finished 2 fronts out of 4 (each designed and built in a different way). You can look at each of those for hours. We were really interested in how they built all those curved surfaces with steel and concrete and in the museum of the building. We decided that we had enough of museums and after the Sagrada Familia we went climbing up the mountain of Jews (Montjuic). We really thought of trying to take the cable-car up, but half the way up we realized it is closed. We spent some time up in the castle and went down back to the city. We thought of eating real food tonight, and to go to a fancy restaurant that wasn’t good (maybe it was good but, we couldn’t afford ourselves a real meal there). We finished the night in a crowded pub watching the game between Stuttgart and Barcelona that ended up in drew 1-1. It was enough for that day…

Take care
Gad
