Hi

We are getting ready to rock that city out! No, we all sitting down in the Salon reading our books and drinking tea. Renting the apartment was without a doubt the best idea in that trip. We are eating popcorn. Because Atzva (the girl that study civil engineering with me) is religious and she brought kosher food from Israel. That is the last night, and because she doesn’t eat a lot, there is still pretty much left out and we are now eating it all (just finished another bag of popcorn and about to eat some tomatoes soup).

We started the day climbing up mount Tibidabo. You supposed to take metro, change to a tram and then change again to a funicular that will take you up to the top of the mountain. The tram didn’t work nor the funicular, so we had a nice climb up he mountain. We didn’t took no food , and we joked that is like in the army. We all were all very hungry when we got to the top but ate a little in an expansive restaurant at the top of the mountain. There are entertainment park and cathedral at the top.

First we went up to the cathedral. We had to pay 2 euros to get up the elevator. Yesterday, when we got in to the Sagarda Familia we had to pay 2.5 euros more to get up to the roof in an elevator. Now are joking ‘how come we don’t use the elevator to the apartment?’ (3rd floor but we always go up in the stairs). The wind on the top of the cathedral was so strong we had to walk very close the wall not to fly away! We went down to the entertainment park. It was closed because we are not at the touristic  season and they repairing it right now. We found a little playground for kids but that was enough for us, we wanted to play: so we played like a bunch of little kids 🙂

I really admire the 2 girls that don’t complain the fact we walk so much. We decided to take the bus down, but we found out they have opened the funicular for a bunch of school children. We joined them on the way down.We decided to go for the Camp Nou, which is the stadium of FC Barcelona. It costs a lot, so the girls left us and to the museum of Picasso. We went in (it was probably better to see a game, but as they say ‘we are here, we won’t go in?’). What was really funny is that their anthem in Hebrew was written from right to left, the wrong way! They wrote it in Hebrew because they say they have an Israeli player – I don’t know of one like that, but my friend says there is one…
Straight from there we went to meet the girls. When we left the stadium we realized we sent them alone and they might not find the way. But they were fine. We got SMS from them that says they are waiting for us at the museum. We thought they had finished their tour and we will eat. But they have been to the apartment, and have eaten.

So we went eat something before Picaso. We ate Pallya that is the traditional food of Catalonia. We sat down in a small restaurant, but we payed a lot for such a small dish. Lucky we got beer with it so we weren’t too hungry when we went to Picasso.

I didn’t like Picasso, and I don’t like him now. All the museum was how he learned to paint and drew and how he never used it after graduating school. Lucky us we had the beer before so we were high enough to go through the all museum. There was even one good or famous work of him. We all laughed at the picture he drew a couple having sex and it is titled “two figures and a cat”….
That was enough so we went home to rest a bit, not before we pass in the 20th time or more in front of the Mamote museum we found by accident, and swore we will go in tomorrow (except Miri, the biologist, that didn’t allow us to go..)

Take care
Gad
