Wadi Mishmar, Judean desert, Israel
Hi,
Well back to desert while it’s still a bit wet and no too hot. I manage to drag someone with me to hike there.
That time – In Wadi Mishmar. Mishmar means guard – but I still didn’t figure out why it called that way (Wadi is the name of the route of the water – if there are any water, Most of the “rivers” here got stream only when it’s raining).
It was nice – walking in the canyon, deep yourself in small pools of water while climbing up. And you have to climb, sometimes there are ladders placed inside the rock. The end of the canyon is in a huge wall in front of you. There is a small spring in the under that huge wall. It’s so nice to see that valley with a bit of green. It will all be grey, brown and white in a couple of weeks. In the top of that wall there is a cave, but you can’t get to it. The special in that cave is the treasure that was found there, a huge amount of copper tools from long time ago.
Except that I guess, all is normal. Riots in the Temple Mount – about what I don’t knew. It can be the settlers house in east city (Johnathan house), the heritage thing about Hevron, it can be The Tomb of Simeon, and maybe because they are board (I tell you that the main reason that people are really rioting… :-). Now the Tomb of Simeon – Is a grave in the east of Jerusalem. Jews prey there and now there are plans to built more Jewish houses around there and to built a big parking lot. Oh – almost forgot. The mayor want to built a park in Silwan ( a neighborhood in east Jerusalem near the mount of temple) – of course to built it some Arabs houses will have to be demolished. So stupid…
