Is there a single point where you are no longer a backpacker, but a bourgeois?

Is there a single spot you can put your finger on and say it? Or is it a long process?

Today I understood I am becoming bourgeois – If I am not already one. The Ironic thing was that

American that older than me, earn more than me, made me understand it.If it wasn’t the fact that I didn’t want to eat cheap food from the streets ( I did want to do it) or the fact that I wanted a cheap hostel (that I also wanted).

I think it was because I stopped fighting for money: “What the hell 5$ more or less, If it is a flight or a train. Anyway my time worth than that.” I even starts thinking in Dollars instead of Shekels or Gene (the local Egypt coin).

Yes the flight is a bit more than a train, which is a bit more than touristic bus, which is a lot more than a local bus – you can see the point.

Anyway I will sleep on the way – If it is a bus or a plane – so why paying more?
I stopped bargain with them for the real price. I bargain because I know I have to.

A vice president in some company, which is more backpacker than I do – made me see it clearer.

He lives like a king all year long – and as backpacker only when goes out…

Take care
Gad
