First of all – It was fun and satisfying =)
They make that all Marathon (or half a Marathon in my case) to a real Carnival!
People go out – photo you, clap hands, yell, run a bit with you, encourage you (Specially someone called “Dadi”…). There are entertainment stages along the route, with clowns and bumpy music which make you smile and dance.
I always run with my cellphone – so I will won’t get bored. But in some point I stopped listen to it, only looked around me on the buildings, the stages and the runners’ shirts kept me occupied =)
So, I used the cellphone to take some pics…
I run the first km very fast, probably because of the excitement, later on I had to slow down. That was pity, I usually go the other way, so I could do better (mostly mentally – when you pass others, it is better than others passing you. Especially when it is in the end).
