Jerusalem, Israel
Atzva, my girlfriend, and I took my little sister out of home so her friends can make her a surprise party.
In the end nobody came and they celebrate later that day, but we had an excuse to take a tour around Jerusalem: a Panorama on the old city, buying Thaini and going to see what become of the old train station of Jerusalem.
Like the old train station in Jaffa, it is no longer used as a train station. Those were the two end stations of the first railroad built in Israel.
And now, those both stations are used as entertainment and shopping areas. The one in Jaffa called “Ha-Tahana” (The Station in Hebrew) and the one in Jerusalem is called “Ha-Tahana HaRishona” (The First Station in Hebrew).
This place is important, there aren’t many places open in Jerusalem in Sabbath. And having a new big area you can walk around and enjoy a bit is a real upgrade in that city =)

The station’s roof with it’s name in three languages.
Part of the inside of the station building is used for changing exhibitions
Where the railway used to stand is now used for food carts.
In the end of the station – a screen and a stage (an old train truck) are waiting for the bands…
