Darga stream, Israel
Hi,
There aren’t so many water hikes in Israel, especially not now and especially not in the Judean desert. Darga stream
But there are some creeks in the desert, so deep that the hot desert sun doesn’t dry out so fast. Even now you have to walk and swim simultaneity when you go down those creeks.
The idea was to say goodbye to Nili Sister before she go out the her After-army-trip. The location that was chosen was by Nili was Darga stream, mainly because Nili was so passion about hiking it.
After some small difficulty, that threaten to ruin the all hike (we didn’t have a rope long and strong enough according to the Israel Nature and Park Authority rangers to get in stream) we started walking in the desert. It wasn’t long before we had to jump into the first pool….. and it was cold….
