20th Day of Operation Protective Edge
Both Operation Cast Lead and Operation Pillar of Defense both ended up with cease fire: the IDF left the strip (if we entered it), leaving Hamas as a winner and stopped the attacks, and Hamas stopped the rocket fire…. for a certain period of time…

As I wrote yesterday – It’s about honor. Hamas is set to make himself a winner. Even if Gaza strip will be flattened and the kids of Gaza will have no place to sleep, nothing to eat and the will get hurt – Hamas will still fire rockets. That is the only victory option they have.

Therefore, if we want to stop the rocket fire and to eliminate the tunnel threat will have to do two things: First blow up all the tunnels that we can find. Second – to demilitarize Gaza strip. We will not be able to find all the tunnels and all the rockets, nor can we find A way to prevent Hamas from digging more tunnels or make more rockets.

Will a international force will prevent the next combat? Not sure. It may be like the “rockets in UNRWA school” (twice already), but it something we didn’t try yet… =)

And while we talk and argue about cease fire agreement, one of those dozens mortar shells that fired every day killed four civilians. Another penetrate attempt of Hamas militants was thawed by IDF. And rockets were fired as far as Hedera.

Take Care
