Tze’elim, Israel – Hierarchy
Hi,
Each time you are called to a military reserve duty you got thrown into a different world in so many ways and aspects. One of those aspects is the hierarchy in the army and how it is against what going on in the world outside the military reserve duty (we use to call it the civil world)
You might think that if someone is a Company commander or a Battalion commander or whatever high rank he is in military reserve duty, he is a manager in some company or some high level officer. Or he owns his own company and run his own life by himself without anybody above him.
But it not necessarily this way. It might be he is just a cashier on some bank branch (and one of manager banks is just a simple soldier underneath him). Or it might be he is just a youth basketball coach outside the army, in his professional life (like our battalion commander is)…
While he sits above others here on the time we are called for those military reserve duty, he is below other outside in the real world…
It is just a strange bubble, and sometimes makes very funny situations…=) or very absurd and frustrating as well.

Engineering Corps reserve – let’s blow up things The explosives outside the blowing area range
Setting up the explosives inside the explosion range, this is a simple set of connections to explode the material
The explosives arranged (just like in the book)
Attaching the Detonator to the main explosives material
The explosion of explosives material circle
What’s left after… (It means the circle we built worked)
It hard to explain this strange feeling – to walk around with a bag of 5 kg of TNT on your back
