Atzva stayed up till late yesterday to see USA Olympic team in Women’s team all around in Gymnastics, and specilly Ali Raisman. Back in London, she won the gold medal and her song for the  floor final was Hava Nagila.  Yep, she is Jew, and she picked that song because there was no ceremony for the 40 years memorial for 11 Israeli Olympians murdered during the Olympic games in 1972.

“Who took the Gold?” I asked today in the morning.
“The USA team of course” Atzva said. “But now, it getting interesting. Now those are the personal competitions”
“So the American team is competing against itself?”
“Yes, with the rest trying to get to the Bronze medal =)”
“Some countries will be happy to get even the bronze medal in the Olympic GamesOlympic Games

Israel is one of those countries. We don’t win many medal. We didn’t got even one medal in London Olympic games in 2012. And that’s after our olympians managed to get a medal in every Olympic games since 1992 Olympic Games

The first Israeli that won an Olympic Gamesmedal was Yael Arad, that won the Silver medal in 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. In the same games, Oren Smadja also won the Bronze medal. They both practice in Judo, and most of Israel Olympic medals are in Judo (The rest are mainly in Sailing, and there is also one in Canoeing).

Yesterday Yarden Gerbi won the Bronze medal! Olympic Games
You can guess in what sport it was .Yep, Judo. It seems that is our lucky  sport.
We really happy about it, and it cover the all front page of the newspapers.
