August 13th 2016 – Second medal In Rio =)

It seems Israel is a Judo empire =)
After Ori Sasson, lost only to the World champion 8 times in a row in the Semi-finals,  Ori won the second  Bronze medal in Rio 2016 Olympics!

I must tell you, I never watched Judo before. And as Atzva said when we watched Ori first fight “Go Ori, we didn’t know that you exists a that morning! Get us a medal!”. from yesterday noon we watched Ori beat is opponents one by one with waza-ari (when the opponent falls only with half his back), Yuko (when he falls on the side) and winning with penalties (so many kind of penalties). No Ippon (when the opponent falls on all his back). We knew almost none of those Japanese names yesterday, but now we know .

We also think we understand why it is Judo we so good in. Apparently there are two Bronze winners in Judo in Olympic games We invest the most in the sport there the highest chance to win a medal

And of course – we never forget that we are still from Israel. The first opponent Ori won was an Egypten called Islam El Shahaby. El Shahaby lost, and refused to shake Ori’s hand as done in the end of each fight. He did it, not because he lost to Ori, but because Ori is an Israeli. There are a lot of Arab athlete, refusing to compete against Israelite athletes, yes even in the Olympic games were all politics supposed to be set a side….
