Malta

What do you think about when you hear the word Malta?
I think about the The Maltese Falcon. Not that I ever watched it, (although that if I will tell it to Ima she will sit down the whole family to  watch it ) or read it.
The second thing that cross my mind is that is the last country in the EU that did not allow divorce, until lately.

So we went to Malta, which is an island in the Mediterranean sea south of Italy, for our babymoon (I will explain in one of my next posts).

First of all It looks like a very religious country, the amount of churches here is incredible even for a catholic country. Second apparently most of Malta history in  modern time can be summarized to: “We stood against the Ottomans invaders in 1565, and we stood against the Italian in WWII”. At least that was I had in mind after visiting Fort Elmo
Just later on I realized that Malta was taken over by France and later on by Britain, but those were not myths of to be proud of. Not like “We prevent the Muslims to take over Europe” and “We prevent The Italian spread to North Africa in WWII”.

– Grizzi is thank you, marhaba is you are welcome.
