Hi,
We went up to Jerusalem to say goodbye to an old friend of mine
No, Not Shimon Peres that was the ninth president of Israel and was buried today. Just a couple of friends that one of them go on a postdoctoral period in Dieseldorf in Germany.
Because of Shimon Peres funeral this morning many of the Roads to Jerusalem and inside the city were mostly closed: Many of the world leaders were attended the funeral. We decided to go to our friends goodbye party although Jerusalem was under siege.
Lucky for us, because everyone was scared because of the road closing – it even took us less time to get to our friend house than usual =)
This isn’t the first time Jerusalem is under siege. Looking on its history it look like the city is just between sieges. Even now, each time a minister is coming to visit Israel, a blizzard is hitting or some political protest is starting this city goes under siege.
It is also deep inside the character of the inhabitants of the city – ready to look themselves. I grew up in this city, but it is hard to me to understand how you live as a grown up in this city….
Week 26 – Atzva took the sugar blood test: half a glass of sugar! Too sweet, even for me. It look like the results are good and she doesn’t have a pregnant diabetes =)
