Week 31 – Child birth tour and stolen bikes

Hi,
They all thing got really realistic once we got into the childbirth room.
No, Atzva haven’t gave birth yet. We gust started visiting some hospitals to see where Atzva will give birth. The first tour was really good and we walked around the childbirth rooms hear the screaming giving birth woman, the cry of the newborn babies and watched them lead out packed and

The problem is, that in one point, I couldn’t stand the biological explanations and almost painted in middle of the room. It come to my mind that I might not help Atzva when I need to.Aba cannot stand blood also. He keeps telling us how the nursed told him to stand with his back to the door in the childbirth room. “If you will paint and fall outside the room into the corridor, if you paint into the room everybody will just step over you.” =)

I studied a lot in that tour.  One of the funny things was how people marks their kids after they are taken to the nursery: markers, wite-out, earrings… yes on newborn babies. It is sounds crazy, but we had some cases of people claiming their kids were taken away from them in the hospital, and they were told they are dead The famous Yemenite Children affair. I can understand why people  did it…

I finally sank in to Tel Aviv – My bikes were stolen from underneath our house . I’m not feeling like buying new bike so I took Aba bicycles – over 40 years bikes! Not as comfortable as the newer models, but they still function (I bought them a 200 NIS lock, I hope it will be enough…)

Take Care

Abandon bikes chains and locks, made me feel that even the new lock I got might not be enough.
