We are on patrol at night – meaning we are spending times in the settlements, showing off we are here.
Of course there are places you spend more time, watching and looking for terrorists. But there are other places you spend more time: where you have coffee and where there are girls 
I am not sure we talked about it – but the military uniform makes you become primitive. You go down to the basic needs: Food, sleep and sex.
You become hungry, otherwise I don’t see any reason to eat the food you got in the army.
You become tired. Maybe it is because you getting out of the modern life and realize you need to sleep more. You have less responsibility – no kids and no work, so you can lower things.
And you become horny. You are away from your wife or your girlfriend, so unless you take things to your own hands (as the say goes…) you have no sexual activity for a while. You do see some girls, and those are usually 18 years old girls, and most of them are nice. Even it is because they are young (a book I once read claimed “I was young and beautiful. but then again, who is it beautiful when he is young?”).
So if you want your settlement to be protected and the patrol of the guys in uniform to spend there more time: Make a coffee place for the soldiers and see there are girls sitting in the gate =)
