Hi,
It was just another day near Susya, and we should have seen it coming….
What other reason is there a for a Palestinian shepherd to be escorted by 3 Europeans near the settlement of Susya? a provocation, and we should have seen it coming.
But we only ask them to move a side from the road.
That was until the red hair teenager settler got to the point and started yelling that those are the state land and the shepherd is not allowed to be there. Apparently it was the guy that 3 Palestinians entered his house in the middle of the night 4 days ago. The shepherd (well, the Europeans with him) claimed this area belong to his family. Because we didn’t have earlier knowledge we got everybody aside from that piece of land (later we learned it known as 3s). Maybe it wasn’t the right thing to do, playing into this settler hands, but that the best we could have done with what we knew.
Guess who was right? None. Well they were both right and both wrong:
This piece of land is private Palestinian land, but in order to enter it he has to coordinate with the army (what he didn’t do).
That’s the game here. And it all covered with cameras and video, so don’t be surprised if you’ll see my face in the news today =)
Take care
