It is something worth doing once in a while – to visit your city as a tourist. When I lived in Jerusalem, we had an idea of sleeping in a guesthouse in Old city for the experience of it. We didn’t got to it, but it still make me ponder how it is.
Well I had a sip of it during our company trip – we spent a night in Jerusalem 🙂 Some of us did what tourist that spend one night in the city does – went and visit the Western Wall. The other went out to the new enjoyment area in the Mahane Yehuda market (I joined them) Some woke up in the morning for a nice run.
I enjoyed the idea of being a tourist in my own (used to be) city: went up to see the view of the city from the hotel roof (we slept in the Tryp Jerusalem Bat Sheva hotel), and had fun on the new perspective it gave me over the city 🙂
