Sometimes when we sit down to eat, we are in a kind of a cult. In eating like a cult I mean we cannot eat by ourselves but we have to feed each other. I mean Jannaeus want us to feed him. He, on the other hand, won’t let us eat alone and demand to feed us.
It make totally sense when you think about it – babies learn by imitate us. When was smaller and couldn’t eat by himself, we fed him. He learned that how things work – people don’t eat by themselves, they feed each other.
Now, as he grows up he learned to eat by himself. Once in a while he demand to feed us. Well, as Nathan said: “He rapes you to eat.”.
And I keep thinking about the movie “The East”, which is about a cult. And specifically about the dinner scene, where they feed each other:
