Kalderimi in Pelion

Hi,

Today we hiked down the slopes of mount Pelion.

All the Pelion peninsula is covered with a net of mule roads called Kalderimi.
You can find many of hiking trails based on those Kalderimi. Most them have a stiff ascent/ descent, for the mountain itself is stiff. If you are looking for a more flat hike, you can find those along the shore. Kalderimi paths that goes from one beach to the other.

You can find walks on Walking in pelion, or in access to  beaches or here in Hebrew.

We found ourselves an hike going down from Mouseri to Damouchari.
We only walk along the last part which is about one kilometer and 250m descent. With Atzva on 6th month and I carrying Jannaeus on my hands most of the hike, this walk was exactly what we can do and not a step more 😀.

Yuzik and his family, that joined us in Meteora it was also about the right amount of walk. Traveling with two cars allow us to do the walk only downward without climbing.
