For a 100 years century to the official end of World War I – A video of the development of Israel-Palestine Railway in the Land of Israel system between WWI (1914-1918).
Israel (then even not called Palestine) was the front line between the Ottoman Empire and the British Empire during the The Sinai and Palestine Campaign. The train was an important mean of transportation in this campaign during the war and many km of railways line were set in place during it. It can see how the railway system follow the Ottoman attempt to attack the Sinai peninsula at the start of the war, and how the railway follow the progress of the British process until the conquer of the Levant in 30.10.1918.
You can see how the British and ottoman laid new railways around Gaza during the Gaza campaign. Or how the British laid new railways during 1918 to help arrange the Meggido offensive (after crossing of Yarkon river).
