Hi,
Jannaeus got a book called “The tractor in the sandbox”. He loves the figure in the book some much, that we just call it “Uncle Aaron tractor”.
When we found out the figure in the book is based on a true person who happens to sit every Friday in the tractor museum, we rushed to visit him 🙂.
The whole book is posted along the outer the wall of the hanger, and below each page you can see the agriculture machinery that mentioned in it. We finally show how an Harrow is 😁 (in Hebrew it called Mash’deda. And that is the first time I heard it…)
The museum is a Tractor museum, but it seems like an eclectic museum. The main hanger is housing the tractors, and also a bit of ancient agriculture and old tools. On one side is an armored car, and on the other there is a truck that was used during 1948 independence war. In the yard there are more tractors, as well as a fire truck (of Fireman Sam), a locomotive (Thomas) and a roller (Rolly). One of the tractors is Uncle Aaron tractor – painted as the tractor from the book – yellow and covered with flowers (that what happened to the tractor when uncle Aron and the tractor retired…)
From the yard there is an entrance to a collection of old items: from cameras to lamps, ice refrigerators to pencils, wood toys to jewelry. Everything the old friends around donated 🙂.
And Uncle Aaron? He came and we asked him to sign on the book. But Jannaeus was too shy, and did not interested in him too much. He did not to take a picture with him as well. We did managed him to greet him in happy holiday.
But when we drove our car out of there, and uncle Aaron crossed the road, Jannaeus asked “Hey, where is uncle Aaron is going to?” 😁
Take care
Gad
