Hi,
Jannaeus: Why there is a building here?
Me: Someone built it over.
Why someone built it?
So the Kibbutz can grow chicken 🐓
Why?
Because people needed something to eat.
Why?
So they will grow up.
Why?…
Yep, Jannaeus is in the ‘Why stage’ 🙂. It really gives you a perspective over a life. Why do they built it for chicken? Why didn’t the let them run free in the fields. This question has an easy answer – cheaper an easier to cage them. But all those philosophical questions – I don’t know why people wish to grow up?
Many times it cute and you are happy to teach him things. Why things are this way or the other. And many time you learn things yourself.
But it does get the a point it makes you mad 😐. How many times you can answer the question why we cook pasta, minute after minute?
Back to the positive side – it good to have a second thought over things. Even if you don’t know the answer. We are laughing over my aba answer to everything – “open the Hebrew Encyclopedia”. Now when I a father I sometimes wish to send Jannaeus to read by himself (no, he cannot yet read… 😏). Like the joke over the Bedouin boy asking his father why question, while the last keeps answering “I don’t know”. When the boy finally asks his father if the questions makes him mad, the father answers: “Son, if you won’t ask, How will you know?”…😄
I think Louis CK telling about his little kid in this stage will make you roll in laugh, even if you don’t have kids yourself 😉.
Take Care

The chicken coop that started the why scene described above
“Aba, why there a tractor on the tree?” – that is a reasonable question for any stage…
