Les Arcs 1800

Les Arcs 1800
So this ski vacation is in Les Arcs in the French Alps, part of the 3 valleys region. Val thorens, where I have broken my finger, is also part of the area.

But unlike Val Thorens, which had very live night scene, Les arcs is more family friendly. Even the big new Folie Douce that was opened here, could’nt lift a nice Après-ski party.

Les Arcs is basically made of 3 villages with very unique names 😏: Les Arcs 2000, Les Arcs 1900 and Les Arcs 1600. Yes, the number is the height of the village above sea level, Makes it easy to remember 🙂. We, anyway are in Les Arcs 1800 😆.

There is also a connection to another nearby ski site called La Plange, both are part of Paradiski (Paradise + ski). And as they say “Paradise is not tropical” 😁

We do have a beutiful view over Mont Blanc mountain, which is the highest mountain In the Alps. Some consider it to be the highest mountain in Europe, although it is the in Elbrus mountain in the Caucaus mountains it is the highest one (5742m while the mount blanc is “only” 4,808m). It is not as white as its name suggested (mount = mountain, blanc = white).

Take Care
