Ski Injuries

Hi,
My friend had dislocated his shoulder 4 years ago having is first ski vacation on Bansko, I had my finger broken 3 years ago in my last ski vacation in Val Thorens, Guri friend dislocated his arm a month ago on a ski day in the Hermon, and now our friend got anterior cruciate ligament injury in our ski vacation in Les Arcs. What can I tell you – ski injuries are more common than you may think, it is pretty dangerous sport with all those injuries.

I guess I had a reason to be worried when taking this ski vacation. When they first offer me to join I refused and got my thumb up 👍, to show him why (yeah, I know it a bit confusing 😁). They convince me by telling me statistically I will not get injured again. I should have looked on it and think that statistically one does get injured… too bad I was right 😕

Of course there are people that never got injured skiing down the slopes of snowed mountains (such as Yuzik and Abizina my dear friends).

And yes, there are people got anterior cruciate ligament injury while playing soccer with their 3 year old child on the playground.

But Ski injuries are something you should take into account while planning your next vacation – so make sure you have a good travel insurance.

Oh, and an helmet. If you don’t want to finish like Schumacher keep to use an helmet when skiing (although he did wear one). In our first vacation we had no helmet, either because it was in ski sites in Bulgaria (Borovets and Bansko) or because we were too young and stupid to use it. Now I have an helmet, just like I have a pair of gloves.

Take Care
