Each time I read a post apocalypse book or see that kind of a movie, I find myself much more interesting on what had happened that led to the situation. Much more than the plot of the creation itself.
Now I have the feeling I am living on the time that leads to the this post apocalypse.
We have the Shin Bet (together with the digital giants) following us, sending people to quarantine based on their cellphone location. 30,000 people were sent last weekend with minimal to no option to appeal and heavy fines on those who break it…
The government is the biggest one in Israel history, spending hundreds of millions of dollars on new invented ministries (water and high education for example). With the phrase “hungry people is bullshit” (our “if there is no bread, eat cakes”). Let you understand how the government is for the people here….
That is while the economic crisis is knocking on our doors. We hear the small business owners who about to lose their pants. At least we don’t run stocks, like in the US and Europe stock markets. But, we might be there too. Making the 99% rich richer…
We are already on the 2nd wave of Coronavirus, which is much wider than the first one. As new guidelines are imposed on the public allowing only 20 people to gather – the new ministry of health, Yuli Edelstein, celebrated his wife birthday with more than 40 people. Making the people even more mad over the government…
But than again I might be over pessimistic . As one older student once told me when I complained on another Bibi government that haven’t finished its days – it really doesn’t change anything around you.
Now, older and wiser I realize this is how it happens – slowly, slowly. Like the frog inside the slowly hitting pot. This is how we get to post apocalypse. Not the pandemic, a war or a meteor…
