Black Flags protest 🏴

Hi,
It seems the protest it trying to spread as more and more black flags protestors are catching almost any junction and bridge along the main roads. I also joined it, but not for long this Sabbath, hope for more next week

But as the Black flags protest at junctions around Israel are spread along Israel, the main show is in Jerusalem. The protest take place in front of  Bibi (our Prime minister) house and in the near by Paris square. We had protested there in 2011 as part of the 2011 Israeli social justice protests, that really managed to move things around here.

But 2011 protest were like a scouts summer camp, and people joined and watched the singers perform at Paris square. We even managed to get Aba out one evening with us. Now it is more like right wing protests: Protestors got arrested; Water cannons are used to spread the protestors as well as mounted police.

Will that what will make the change? God knows, I don’t think violence is the answer. But as I changed since 2011 protests, it does seems other things around Israel have been changed. And if they had, it is for the worse…

Take Care
Gad

P.S. – The coronavirus is still with us of course. Amir Ohana, the Minister of justice, wished to prevent the protest because of it. That only fueled the protest as one of the main issues in the protest is how the government deals with the Covid-19 crisis (Both from medical and economical points of view).
