Hi,
I decided to run from Neve Ativ (where we were sleeping) to Sion springs down on the valley below mount Hermon.
The springs feed Sion stream that run between mount Hermon and Mount Dov. The stream does not flow all the year , in Hebrew it called Aczav, which comes from the word disappointing. You may not understand it, but in this half-desert country it is very disappointing to find out there are no water in a stream
It ended with running from Neve Ativ to Man pool and back. I had doubt about the length of the route (14 km) and with the stiff slopes and the fact the trail down to the springs is a hard one, I decided to cut, finish at trail at Man pool and return on The Golan trail.
It ended with 10km, 500m up and 500m down. The day after, when we climbed the mountain top we watched the runners of the Hermon Marathon: 10km, 1000m up and 600m down ๐
Take care
Gad
