Hi,
Friday morning we decided to the Yarkon waterfall, to see that small piece of nature behind a mall in the center of Israel. The article in Haaretz described at as “you would think you are in the North and not in 20 minutes away from Tel-Aviv”.
Now, you might think it was a mistake to travel to an hidden secret place, on the day after a national newspaper publish an article on it. And you are correct, it was a mistake, but it was not for that reason.
The place can be a nice place to sit in. If it was not full of people, with loud music and dirty all over.
The reporter claimed the Yarkon is clean until this point (until the waterfall). Below the waterfall another stream joins the river, Qana stream, which flow the sawage from Nablus and north of Samaria.
It was seems it was dirty even above the waterfall, leading agriculture poisons from the fields around. And even if not, I better not sit above the water in this location.
We tried to save the morning and were off to Sharonim mall to find something to eat, but found nothing.
Take care
Gad
