Xero barefoot sandals

Hi,
“Just a moment and We will release you from your Chaco” said the guy in Vivobarefoot store. And he did, as I walk out of the store with a pair of Xero sandals on my feet.

I already run barefoot for some years. Well barefoot in the meaning of minimal to no shock absorb on my running shoes, not really barefoot…

I been walking with Chaco for around a decade. What caught me at first was the idea that its sole was Vibram. Yep, the kind of sole heavy trek boots has. “Amazing”, I thought, “just an open trekking shoe” 🙂. And as a guy that wear it sandals all gear and wear it quickly I found it very economical.

But the last pair I bought was with Chaco self design and produce sole. I gave it a shot. But unlike other Chaco sandals, I wear the sole before the straps…

It was a good point to stop and think about the sandal sole from the beginning. So I now wear a pair of Xero barefoot sandals.

No slope, completely flat with almost no sole. As the guy said when I asked him is it a Vivobarefoot sandal “No, but it does the same”. What is this? “Nothing. 😉”

So why pay 340 NIS I think to myself, will see about it. The company gives a 5,000 mile warranty. Means I would walk around 11 km per day.

Take Care
Gad
