The tunnels trick – Guardian of the walls – day 6

Hi,
All the ground maneuver we read about on last few days, was all about the tunnels trick.

Those tunnels are one of Hamas most effective weapons. The defensive tunnels (inside Gaza strip) are used once the IDF soldiers are inside Gaza strip. He invest a lot in it, and a lost of every tunnels means a lot of money and time going down the tunnels trick  The attack tunnels (going to Israel) are used to kidnap soldiers (like Gilad Shalit) or to enter Israeli settlements along the fence for terror attacks.

I guess that what happened in Vietnam war, when the Viet Cong hit US forces from their hiding tunnels.

The idea of the tunnels trick was to let the national and international press to know about ground maneuver. Hamas will man the tunnels. This will be the time for the IDF aircrafts to strike the tunnels , demolishing it and and hit Hamas terrorist in it. Ground forces were waiting on the tunnels exit point inside Israel to prevent the terrorists to get out of the tunnels.

Since Operation Defensive Shield Hamas had dug thousand of km of tunnels. IDF mapped it but no action was taken until now.

For now it seems to work. The amount of strikes (160 aircrafts) and bomb (40 minutes) that landed on gaza strip on Friday morning was unusual.

On the North Hezballah watch how effective tool Hamas tunnels has been during Operation Protective Edge. And has dug its own tunnels on Israel northern border in a hard rock. After years it been ignored, although reports of underground noises, they had been demolished in Operation Northern Shield on 2018. I hope there are no more of those. Some of its militants tried to cross the border near Metula to attack Israel but were stopped.

3 missiles were shot on Israel from Syria but landed on open fields.

11 terrorists were killed at the west bank as riots spread over there.

That’s while riots between Arabs and Jewish continued in the mixed cities of Israel.

Take Care
