Living in the shelter – Guardian of the walls – day 7

Hi,
Yes, we run once or twice to the staircase (and on the first night to the building across the street to a safer place). But it is nothing compare to the people around Gaza strip that literally living in the shelter.

Look for example on Kisufim (litteraly Yearning), which is kibbutz couple of hundreds meters from Gaza strip.

Unlike us in Ramat-Gan who has only a minute and a half to run to the shelter. those has 15 seconds only

Yesterday evening was the last siren (Color Red as we call it here) in Kisufim was at 18:36, just as people were getting ready for the last pray of Shabbat, they had to run to the shelters.

The night was quiet for them. Although they had prepared the shelters, or slept in it, to run to it and spend the night in the shelter.

So was the morning in Kisufim, not sirens or alarms. But people had to be in distance of no more than 15 seconds!

The next siren was heard in the afternoon of this day, on 14:20.

An hour and an half later, 15:59, another siren.

Three hours later, 17:55, another one.

10 minutes later, another sire. The didn’t even have time to go out of the shelter as you wait for ten minutes for things to cool down. 15 minutes later another one.

An hour and a half later was the last siren on yesterday evening (Color Red as we call it here) in Kisufim was at 19:54, just as people were sitting down to eat Shavout holiday dinner, they had to run to the shelters.

The night was again quiet and so was the morning , as the next siren was heard only on the day after on 11:33 in the morning.

Would you have the nerves to live this way?
No wonder Hamas is treated as terror organization….

Take Care
Gad

P.S.
I don’t ignore from what the families in Gaza has to go through. But IDF are alerting before bombing buildings, by Roof Knocking  (unlike Hamas). The IDF also does not use civilians has Hamas.
