Hi,
We started our day of Yosemite waterfalls in Vernal fall that fed by Merced River and located on the eastern edge of Yosemite valley.
Although it was marked as easy, we find out it is pretty stiff ascent to the waterfall view point. We got the the bridge from which you can see the water.
We decided not to climb to top of Vernal fall (where you can also have a look on Nevada fall), when we realized we won’t be able to swim in it. Couple of threatening signs along the way, about two kids who slipped into the water and died made us realize it is not worth the risk. The best place the swim in this National park is down were Merced river is slow and easy.
After a stop of Ice cream on the village store we moved to Upper and lower Yosemite falls. Atzava and I climbed up there last time we been here on 2014, on our honeymoon. Atzva stopped halfway at Columbia rock as she felt bad, and I climbed till lower fall by myself. Now we barley made it from the parking lot to the bottom of the lower waterfall.
The last waterfall of today Bridaveil fall, we saw from far away. We planned to visit it yesterday, but found out the trail is closed for construction. The point on which we bathed on Merced river was just in front of the waterfall. The stream is water on the fall is so light and wind on the its height is so strong, the water just spread away and it is more of a spray of water that sometimes forms a clear fall 🙂
