Hi,
After we came back from Yosemite park Jannaeus asked for Shakshouka, an Israeli dish made of tomatoes, peppers, onion, garlic and eggs and the secret component of Ketchup.
Yep, we consider this dish of food to be Israeli (although its origin is probably somewhere else around the medetranian), but we eats it here in California in their uncle and aunt house.
Pretty funny but we had to fly over to the other side of the world to get the kids to eat Shakshouka. But the reason Jannaeus ask for it, was that we gave him tablet during the car rides. One of the games that were in it, was about making Shakshouka and dip it in the liquid yolk.
Yes, he got addicted to the tablet screen. After we brought in TV to our house during Atzva quarantine, we end up with screen also during those long rides. At least in Israel our rides our shorter. I guess will need to manage it once we are back home.
While Jannaeus and Mindal ate Shakshouka, Atzva and I ate an American style breakfast: beagle, cream cheese and Salmon. Oh and bacon for Atzva….🙈
If you are asking what is the Shakshouka system (I wrote about it here and here) it is a film from 2008 that shows how the Israeli economy is ruled by some wealthy families. Since then, by the way, there was’nt such a big change…
Take Care
