Hi,
We decided to spent our days at Orlando at the state nature parks, other than the amusement parks of Walt Diseny. Blue spring State park was chosen.
It is around 30 minutes from Orlando, with clear water spring and mantles in it 🙂 (Mindal had tantrum so I did not see it… ).
The water flows up out of a cave more 100m long from below the surface. It is more like the Cenote we have seen in Mexico, than the Israeli springs, although the concept is the same.
The water are crystal clear and a bit cold – we needed some time to get in and the kids could not stay in long (they mostly sat on a tube that we rent).
You can have a 10 minute walk up to the spring itself on a shaded wooden bridge trail to the springs itself were there also a way down to the water.
There many other nature parks as this around Florida but our time here is limited and we looked for other attractions.
Apparently Orlando was a small town before Walt Disney decided to built Disney World here (it is named after a man called Orlando). I guess it is because he looked for a place it will be able to work all year around. We got here for another reason anyway.
