It might be we all gonna end up loving this Omicron Coronavirus variant as it makes the the Coronavirus more like a new flu virus than the threatening disease it was two years ago.
Just look on the new daily cases graph and daily death or daily hard cases graphs and you can easily understand the difference. During the Delta variant wave they were around 11,000 new cases, 700 hard cases, and 40 deaths a day.
Now they are almost 18,000 new cases, up to 170 hard cases and up to 6 deaths a day. Not something to have a shut down or close the airport. But it does create a pressure on the check tents.
One of the main decisions were to let people have home check for the virus, and leave the PCR test only for people over 60 years old and other population in danger. Not because those have became more accurate, but because the lines for the PCR and Antigen (the quick check) have became impossible.
Another change is that most of the countries were red and now they are orange. Meaning you can come over and have only 3 days of quarantine, even one if you do a quick check.
Meanwhile in the factory we were sent to work from home. Meaning I get more time because I don’t need to ride there twice a week in the train but it makes it harder to see the work is done as most the workers are still young.
Hope we will have just a new flu, the regular one that each year you call seek for couple if days, than a new Spanish flu killing millions.
