Atzva let me Schlafstunde yesterday as I was reading a book in our warm sleeping room (I twisted my ankle and had to lie down). I woke up to a war – operation Breaking Dawn have started.
It started with the arrest of Islamic Jihad leader in the West Bank, As part of a long operarion to depress the terror organization on the West Bank. It led to a curfew on Gaza surroundings settelments and roads from fear of snipers and ATGM. Yesterday Israel assistanced Islamic Jiahd Northern militon leader (that was officially the start of operation Breaking Dawn) which led to endless mortar shells and Qassam rockets on Gaza surrondings and several rockts on Southern area of Tel-Aviv (Rishon Le-Tzion and Holon).
We get the kids to bed, not without reminding them what happens if there is a alarm (running to the staircase). The night was quiet in center Israel but Gaza surrondings bombings have not stopped.
In Shabbat morning we decided to cool a bit in Tel Aviv port water fountains and found the place pretty empty. Most of the people decided to stay home at the AC and near a protected area. It was fun to quickly find a parking place and to walk around when it is not crowded.
While we were playing the water fountains we have heard 5 explosions. Those were probably interceptions of rockets fired at Modi’in area. We realized there are no Protected areas at Tel Aviv port and the nearby wall is were will have to lie and cover our heads.
