Hi,
Atzva and I used our first free Friday morning in months (now that the kids are in kindergarten again) and visited the Pastry box.
It is the place of Nurit Chitayat which specializes in combining the French conditory and the Japanese taste and aesthetic (were she was born). It took her about two years to work on creating those products and finalizing those to what you can purchase on the shop Rival street 7, Tel Aviv.
I was impressed once I step into the place, my first impression was entering a Japanese museum (or a temple, but I never really been to one). It is big, quiet and very accurate – only what need to be there is shown: Only one kind of each pastry sold here is shown, and they all presented on exhibition tables as Jewelry shop or items on museum.the think I am looking for is minimalist (as you would expect from Japanese conditory).
All the pastries look tasty and we picked up what we like most – me sweets (whiskey cake-pop 🍢 and unicorn 🦄🐚) and Atzva salty (Brie sandwich 🥪) and we bought the kids donuts with eyes 🍩👀. It was all good, but not as we expected it to be.
Bottom line – the place is very aesthetic, and the same can be said on the dishes. But they do not taste as good as they look, and for their prices the should. So it is a nice Friday morning entertainment, but I don’t think we will visit here again as this a one time experience.
Take Care

A general view on the Pastry Box
The pastries exhibition tables
The pastries displayed one by one. Very unique as most conditories show out all they have on shelves.
Our dishes; whiskey cake up, Vanilla unicorn, Yuzu eclair, Strawberry eclair, Brie sandwich and donuts in the bag.
Happy i actually went and didnt listen to what was weitten here blindly! For the taste, I couldn’t agree less. I actually asked them to give me some interesting things to taste and i was very impressed and will certainly come back. As for prices, I actually think that they are fair – I checked with other patisseries which are their competitors (and you can really only compare to these kinds of places) and they are pretty much in line on all products.
I am happy to hear you have enjoyed place.
