Hod-Hasharon Ecological Park 馃尣馃尦馃尨

Hi,
We went out for a short walk in the rain (that refuse to come) in Hod-Hasharon Ecological Park. We wore boots and coats and took umbrellas. Although it seemed it will rain any minute, it only started raining as we were driving back home.

The Park is built underneath the Mount of Garbage, a garbage dump that is no longer used, and gives a beautiful 360 panorama view, all the way from Ramat Gan Diamond Exchange towers to Shomron mountains.

The park consists of a large artificial lake that holds dirt water and is used to clean it before flows down to the Yarkon River. A bridge is crossing the lake with a shed in the middle allowing you to watch the birds nesting in the lake. Another two bird-watching sheds are located along the walkway that circles the lake.

Along the walkway flows Hadar stream which is a treated wastewater stream and can be crossed by several bridges. A km down the stream, it flows to the Yarkon river.

Take Care
