The freedom campaign

Hi,
The freedom campaign is a reminder to jow we wish to live in Israel – free.

Free in our country, free from hate, free from Arab discrimination, free and equal people, free from rasicm, free from LGBT persecution, free from dictatorship, free and independent Batgatz (Israel supreme court), free from women subjugation.

There have been 15 weeks since the protests against the judicial reform have started. The laws that about to set the rules of the reform have been suspended for the moment.

But once people realize they have the power to define the country they live in, it encourages them to go out and affect it and not just sit down and complain about it.

Yes, we have elections each 4 years (more like 2 years in the past two decades) , and people do not understand the power they give by not choosing not to vote (especially the people of my side of the political map that mainly protest now).

This might be the last opportunity to do so. The demography is playing against my camp (the left wing, liberal, two state solution camp). While Ultra-Orthodox and religious have about 6 kids for family. The non-religous have an average of less than 3 (the number is going down all over Israel).

Those are people that vote and determine who sits in our parliament (the Knesset). In the long run, Israel will probably be more religious and poor. unless we do something now, and some clear rules and laws it will be less free.

Take Care
Gad
