It is the new new reality, Atzva, and the kids are in the lioness den taking care of the kids. Mindal has no kindergarten, and Jannaeus has some classes in Zoom and Dub is a baby. And they now live in Har Adar.
I do not see my kids, Atzva, or my family, and I do not know when I will see them. And when I do, it won’t be with the rest of my brothers (as they are drafted as well).
I am not working. My cellphone is connected to Monday and the email, so I can generally look at it, but I have no battery and availability to comment and answer. I answer what I can through Whatsapp to the co-workers. The notifications the cellphone shows are from a different time: work meetings, field walks on site, family vacations, to go out to pick the kids, football games and so on
Well, on the other hand, you can say I am working – working in the IDF. I wake up in the morning and practice on being a soldier – which basically means you do not control your time or your life. In this situation, no one can tell what will happen as no one knows it.
Your friends, co-workers, and family are the same people – your friends to the company which you spent tour all day with: work, sleep, eat, shower (which we do not really do) and spend your time with.
You live on the field, sleeps in a sleeping bag, every rain is an event, a power socket is a priceless, booms are heard daily but you will know whats happening only hours later (unless a rocket will fall close by)
