Yamach – 14th day of war

Hi,
This war is the first time I have seen our Yamach (war reserves storage unit) open up and all the equipment in it. It took us some time to go over all the personal equipment that was stored.

We had a one day military reserve duty we been called up to see the storage unit and what was inside. Most of the stuff was packed in closed boxes and in thick plastic bags, so we had to believe all our fighting gear was inside and in good condition.

We had, of course, Nagmash (APC) packed and ready to go, and inside it all the equipment we had for fight. The Nagmash is a 50 years old, Armored vehicles, so it is pretty absurd this those in the Yamach. But that is what we have, and with those, we will win.

All the weapons that were pulled out from the storage were used but are in good condition (no problems in the shooting range) and with optic aiming devices.

The equipment was divided into two parts: very new equipment and very old equipment.

The new equipment is brand new, out of the boxes and nylons. Things I have never seen in this condition in my life in the IDF.

The old equipment, however, is old, very old, Yom Kippur war old, Aba time old, 50 years old. A Kitbag with a Tadal (a soldier bag for the way), 2 water bottles (never seen those new), and a kind of a Mesting.
