As one wrote near to the beginning of the war, “So if I understand correctly, we are chosen to host World War III, respect.” The horror and brutal massacre of the Black Sabbath of October 7th did hit the world in shock, but it is still not a reason to send over an American Aircraft carrier over to the middle as USA did when the war started.
The rumors went it is because Iran is starting to move strategic weapons over to her western border, which reduces the distance to Israel.
It makes sense as the aircraft carriers are symbolic and won’t help much in the tight urban fighting we are handling inside Gaza. They can help flaten the buildings, but I do not think that is something the USA will help with.
But the aircraft carrier is not only the ship and aircraft, but 10 more ships supporting it. And that has already been proven useful – the Aegis combat system those ships are carrying that defended us against some of the ballistic missiles fired by the Houthis from Yemen (other was fired down by the Hetz missile).
Hassan Nasrallah speech a couple of days ago did not suggest that Hezbollah open another front, but i keeps with is bookkeeping killing citizens and soldiers on the Northern border. In case it does, and we here hope so, the Aegis system can support Israel air defense system against the 130,000 long-range missiles Hezbollah is holding.
As it seems, we are about to go up another step as the USA is planning to send over a nuclear submarine to the area. Maybe we got.
