Vacation? – 75th day of war

PHi,
Once we have been released from the military reserve duty, without a clear date when we will call back , I was feeling as coming back to my ordinary life. Now, when we get a date to come back, I feel like I have just been sent out for vacation.

Like the after I was sent out for, after two weeks from the Black Sabbath, when we first got tzav 8. It’s just a much longer one, like a month and a half longer.

When I was called for a month of military reserve duty to guard on settelments on South Mount Hebron, about 6 years ago, it was a vacation from work. A month without a computer (at least not for work) means I can not work, even on the short breaks between missions and guarding shifts.

Those two months in the north, most of it camping on the field, where also a time-out from work and life. Since I came back I tried to avoid working so much: not to work at evening and night (mostly by posting in this blog), not to work on weekends, and to get home by 6 o’clock (I do not always make it, but at least I aim at this, and this is a good start)

So what is it? I am on vacation from the army now? Or I am I working and about to go on vacation in a month? Or is it both? Maybe endless vacations are what I need: vacation from the army when back at home working and vacation from work when I am called up for military reserve duty?

Take Care
Gad
