United – 76h day of war

Hi,
“Once a have war would come back, we will unite again. We have no option but to stand united.” This is what we all thought when people started announcing they would no longer draft for reserve duty because the government was trying to pass the judicial reform.

Our former squadron commander came to visit us, a week or two into the war. In his new position, he is an intelligence officer. And the reason to why the attack of October 7th happened on this time is pretty clear the higher rank officer he said – Hamas was looking at us as weak once we were divided between the reform supporters and those object to it.

We were divided, and maybe we would have collapsed due to those inner disagreements between the camps. A civil war was what some called up for because of the reform.

I am not sure we were so divided as many other thought we were. But for Hamas, it made us look weak. And we we knew it. Chief of staff and other defense ministerials were asking for a meeting with the government ministers to alert them. To let now know that if they wil keep pushing the reform, that will increase the risk of war. The ministers refused to meet with them.

This is how we got this point. Now we are united and strong. With a list of 1,400 dead from the Black Sabbath attack. And more dead  IDF soldiers since that date on a war that started 76 days ago and has no near end.

Take Care
