Gazalighting – 96th day of war

Hi,
Gazalightning (unlike gaslighting) was defined in a Facebook post as a psychological manipulation where one who commits atrocities uses the response to gain sympathy for their actions.
An example is give:
Bob kidnapped a baby and then complained when he was arrested. Bob is Gazalightning.

You can argue that Hamas is basically holding Gaza strip as hostage (just as it holds the 129 Israelis that it  kidnapped during the Black Sabbath attack of October 7th), that not all the Palestinians living in the strip are Hamas supporters.

You can argue that Hamas is threatening the innocent citizens of the strip: if they won’t take the bomb, their family will die. If they do not hide the hostages they will be hostage themselves. If they will not take care of the injured Hamas terrorists, they will by hurt by them.

But the fact is Hamas was chosen in democracy elections on 2006 by the Palestinians on Gaza strip. That hostage that manage to escape from Hamas captivity are arrested by the people in the streets. That kids are thought in school how to be Shaids. That hospitals are used as an hide for terror center,

Having said, my heart does go out for those poor people living under Hamas regime and suffer both from Hamas and from the war it brought on them.

We are getting ready for the one month reserve duty on the north. My officer had alerted me already he will be out for some time, for his pregnant wife. That will probably make me the command in the field, or as I afraid it will be – the duck commander on field.

Take Care
Gad

P.S. Another phrase that was set by TV show Eretz Nehedert is Rapsistance, to describe the way Hamas terrorist used rape as weapon (as part of their allegedly  resistance by attacking citizens in their beds)
