Wedding in war – 104th day of war

Hi,
This wedding was set before the war began, 104 days ago, and the groom and beide were not even sure it would take place.

Israel was attacked by rockets, and terrorists penetrated Israel, slaughtering people in their bed and kiddnaping babies. It is not time for a wedding. This is how this war had started on October 7th on the Black Sabbath.

But people got married. Drafted reserve duty soldier even get married on the field by their tanks or APCs, with their friends from the company as the crowd. And the wedding of the brother of my brother in law took place as planned.

He is pretty old, the guy, and we are all happy he had finally found the girl he had agreed to marry. Or better say, the girl that would agree to marry him . We used to best friends, hiking around Israel, but since I got married we got drift apart and I did not even met them before the marriage.

They are a Kibbutz Galuyot couple. His parents are from part of Russia (do not worry, not from Putin side) and her parents are from Yemen origins (no, she is not one of the Houthis), kind of a mixed wedding.

So life continues during the war, as soldiers are dying in the Gaza strip against Hamas, and the north is being attacked dailly by rockets, anti-tank missiles, UAV, and terrorists groups of Hezbollah trying to penetrate Israel borders.

Take Care
Gad
