It took me time to understand the all country is in alert situation because of the deaths of the Iranians in the embassy in Damascus. As an embassy is considered a country area, it is considered a direct attack on Iran. The one to be blamed is of course Israel.
It finally dropped when one asked in the municipality Whatsapp group if anyone knows when you can buy a radio on batteries. A second asked if they can send over a list of open shelters in the city. It was followed by a massage from the municipality about how to get ready for emergency situation.
A group of elderly woman was driving with me in Tel Aviv red line of the Light train, was reveled when it got to its underground part as it is more safe. It is underground and there is no need to wait for the train to stop and then look and hurry up to a near by shelter or protected area.
The alert situation made people to run and buy supplies for emergency. The power generators are no longer available in any store (in case the power supply will be cut down, and the green energy will not be able to supply the needs). To the point IDF spokesman had to declare there is no change in alert level.
In personal level, I do not think we can be more stressed then we are at the moment. We did arrange the important documents in Dub baby bag in case we will have to leave quickly and will not have the chance to go back again. And we bought some more water bottles, just in case.
I keep thinking on Ofer who lost in mother in terror attack on Argentine Israelite Mutual Association building in Buenos Aires, after the killing of Abbas al-Musawi, Hezbollah leaded. It was two years apart, and still a revenge. Well, I guess we are already know we need to keep ourselves even, and might be more, when we are outside of Israel.
