12 deaths on a football field in Majdal Shams – 295 day of war

Hi,
12 deaths is the final result of the hit the rocket that we fired from Lebanon by Hezbollah and hit a football field which was used for a match between children teams at that time.

I have a co-worker from Majdal Shams, when I first heard that a rocket from Lebanon hit the village I texted him and asked if he is OK. It took him couple of hours to text back, and he wrote he is not OK, and that he might not be able to work tomorrow.

I was refiled to hear that, as for my understanding he was not hit from the rocket that hit the football field. It was only later he told me he was at the nearby gas station when the rocket hit. He ran to the field and helped as much as he could. I asked him to talk to someone about it, but he said he is OK with it.

He, as well as the population in the town are Druze. This is why the town was not evacuated like many other towns and settlements along Lebanon border. This is why Hezbollah reaction was to blame Israel for the killing of the children. This, and the fact those were children and not soldiers.

You can understand the whole town is mourning, but at the same time calls for revenge are already heard. Calls for the government to react, or they will revenge themselves.

Take Care
Gad
