Ibrahim Aqil was killed in Israel allegedly airstrike in Beirut this afternoon. Aqil was Hezbollah Radwan Force chief and high in the terror organization commander list.
He was also responsible, and the head of Hezbollah plan to attack and conquer Israel northern settlements along the Lebanon border. Like Fuad Shukr, Aqil was wanted for the attack on
Along with Aqil, more Radwan force commanders were killed in this attack. It seems that the agopager attack, couple of days ago (and the day after walkie-talkie attack) pushed Hezbollah commanders to meet in personal and allow this airstrike.
It feels like there are still more steps you can go down in this war between Hezbollah and Israel. It always seems like this, that this attack or that attack is the one that will lead to a war (that might inlight to a real WWIII).
Lately, the intensity of attacks on both sides seems to rise. As if both sides wish to break the equations and get down to business and start a war.
It is also the side that leads the attacks. If Hezbollah was the one to set the tone in the last 11 months of war, and Israel responded, it goes the other ways around now: Israel takes the liberty (as Hezbollah did till now) to strikes were and when it sees it fits.
Are we finally there? I got a call from my company commander last night at 23:00 to get ready to go up north as the brigade was drafted, but our battalion was not. “They will decide at 2:00 AM”.
So I went to sleep to wake up to a text message saying we need to pack a bag and wait for a call that might come tomorrow, the day after, two days from now, a month or a year. Well, just as we lived till I got the call….
